Expressive Flowers With Acrylics & Mixed Media

Tips For Creating Beautiful, Expressive Florals

Hi, I'm Robert Joyner

And I've created Expressive Flowers With Acrylic & Mixed Media for people like you that want to loosen up and make art fun!
If you've always wanted to...
  • Break away from tight flower art.
  • Develop a workflow for achieving abstract qualities.
  • Learn valuable skills for making expressive flower painting easy.
Then this course is for you!
  • Discover a practical approach to seeing your subjects.
  • Develop skills that allow you to paint more freely.
  • Step-by-step demonstrations where finished flower art is created using methods shared in this course.

Robert explains why a color sketch is so important in preparation in the preliminary steps of a painting. Going to apply this exercise to future paintings. He also suggests the need to spend more time playing on paper instead of focussing on a finished art. Learned a lot in this tutorial. Thank you!

Do I need a fast Internet connection?

Yes – it will help alleviate frustration.  All Painthog courses stream in HD. A minimum download speed of 5.0 Mbps is recommended to stream video lessons and attend these courses.

You may check with your Internet provider (ISP) or click here to visit and test your download speed before enrolling in a course.. If your system downloads at less than 5.0 Mbps you will experience streaming video issues and this makes watching unenjoyable.

For our international and frequent traveling students we recommend checking this handy link for internet speeds across the world to see if you'll have good connection.

Lastly, if you can watch this video without interruption then your Internet is most likely fast enough for our courses.

How do I ask a question?

You can ask a question anytime during your enrollment in a course via comments section. This is located at the end of every lesson. Simply fill out the comment form and Robert will respond in a timely manner. It usually takes no longer than 24 hours. Once Robert replies you will be notified via email that there's a response waiting for you.

How do courses work?

Once you enroll you will have access to all available content. Courses are self-study so you can watch at your convenience. Unlike workshops courses do not involve assignments and feedback. But with some courses there may be critique videos included which means the course was once a workshop. We feel adding the critiques makes the course more educational.

Are these courses live?

No. Since we have students from all over the world, it makes it impossible to schedule live courses. These courses have instructor "exclusive" pre-recorded video lessons that you can watch anytime and anywhere as long as you have high-speed Internet connection on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

You can watch the videos in parts if you can't watch the entire video all at once. You can forward and rewind the video lessons from your instructor as often as you wish during your enrollment in the course. This is an added bonus, because everyone knows that there is no rewinding instructors information when taking a physical workshop. We made it easy for anyone in the world to learn from the very best.
