Is the workshop live? Do I need to be present a specific time?

No. Since we have students from all over the world, it makes it impossible to schedule live workshops. These workshops have instructor "exclusive" pre-recorded video lessons that you can watch anytime and anywhere as long as you have high-speed Internet connection on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

You can watch the videos in parts if you can't watch the entire video all at once. You can forward and rewind the video lessons from your instructor as often as you wish during your enrollment in the course. This is an added bonus, because everyone knows that there is no rewinding instructors information when taking a physical workshop. We made it easy for anyone in the world to learn from the very best.

How do workshops work?

  • Once you enroll you will have access to all available content as it becomes available.
  • Workshops are 10-15 days long and include lessons and assignments.
  • When you complete assignments by the deadline you get feedback on your work.
  • Personalized critiques makes the workshop unique from self-study courses.
  • They're  more educational because Robert will point out areas in your work that need attention.
  • It's like having an online art mentor there with you while you learn and expand your creativity.

How do I ask a question?

You can ask a question anytime during your enrollment in a course. Your instructor will be as interactive as he can, so ask away. Remember, the instructor receive a lot of questions so be patient if they don't respond right away especially when it comes to communicating over different time zones.

What level of computer knowledge will I need for the courses & workshops?

A basic level of computer understanding is needed. Our technology is simple and very easy to use! If you can browse the Internet, type in a password, play a video, upload a photo then you can easily attend our courses.

Do I need a fast Internet connection?

Yes – it will help alleviate frustration.  All Painthog courses stream in HD. A minimum download speed of 5.0 Mbps is recommended to stream video lessons and attend these courses.

You may check with your Internet provider (ISP) or click here to visit speedtest.net and test your download speed before enrolling in a course.. If your system downloads at less than 5.0 Mbps you will experience streaming video issues and this makes watching unenjoyable.

For our international and frequent traveling students we recommend checking this handy link for internet speeds across the world to see if you'll have good connection.

Lastly, if you can watch this video without interruption then your Internet is most likely fast enough for our courses.

Do these courses need to be viewed on desktop computer only?

No. As long as you have high-speed Internet connection our courses can be viewed on a desktop, laptop or mobile device.
We support Mac OS X & iOS plus Windows & Android operating systems.

As a rule, it is always helpful to have the latest version of the browser you are using to minimize any difficulties.
