A Complete Guide To Design & Composition

The Bones Behind The Art

Hi, I'm Robert Joyner

And I've created A Complete Guide To Design & Composition for people like you that are tired of ignoring quality fine art fundamentals.
If you've always wanted to...
  • Learn the secrets for painting awesome art consistently and not rely on getting lucky once in a while!
  • Develop rock solid compositions over-and-over.
  • Take any image and masterfully arrange shapes into visually appealing designs.
Then this course is for you!
  • Learn only the necessary skills fine artists need for design and not become overwhelmed with nonessential techniques.
  • Take your artistry to new heights with knowing how to begin your paintings.
  • Make your subjects more cohesive with interlocking shapes.
  • Step-by-step demonstrations where basic elements and principles are applied to create finished art.

What You Need To Know

  • It’s imperative that an artist sees what they’re creating.
  • This may sound odd but it’s not uncommon for artists to be completely blind to their work.
  • The reason this happens is because they’re only focused on one element of the work that they don’t see the whole.
  • This comprehensive course includes what need to know for seeing and creating high quality artwork.
  • If your art is stagnant it's probably has a lot to do with design and composition.

Do I need a fast Internet connection?

Yes – it will help alleviate frustration.  All Painthog courses stream in HD. A minimum download speed of 5.0 Mbps is recommended to stream video lessons and attend these courses.

You may check with your Internet provider (ISP) or click here to visit speedtest.net and test your download speed before enrolling in a course.. If your system downloads at less than 5.0 Mbps you will experience streaming video issues and this makes watching unenjoyable.

For our international and frequent traveling students we recommend checking this handy link for internet speeds across the world to see if you'll have good connection.

Lastly, if you can watch this video without interruption then your Internet is most likely fast enough for our courses.

Are these courses live?

No. Since we have students from all over the world, it makes it impossible to schedule live courses. These courses have instructor "exclusive" pre-recorded video lessons that you can watch anytime and anywhere as long as you have high-speed Internet connection on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

You can watch the videos in parts if you can't watch the entire video all at once. You can forward and rewind the video lessons from your instructor as often as you wish during your enrollment in the course. This is an added bonus, because everyone knows that there is no rewinding instructors information when taking a physical workshop. We made it easy for anyone in the world to learn from the very best.

How do I ask a question?

You can ask a question anytime during your enrollment in a course. Your instructor will be as interactive as he can, so ask away. Remember, the instructor receive a lot of questions so be patient if they don't respond right away especially when it comes to communicating over different time zones.

How do courses work?

Once you enroll you will have access to all available content. Courses are self-study so you can watch at your convenience. Unlike workshops courses do not involve assignments and feedback. But with some courses there may be critique videos included which means the course was once a workshop. We feel adding the critiques makes the course more educational.
